Programming
Once the site has been analysed and selected, space programming commences to establish the owner’s needs. We look at all the aspects of the project; water, energy, materials and indoor air quality, daylighting and views before actual design commences. These results often become the Design Goals for the project. Building orientation, positioning on the site, and massing all help establish both the aesthetics and performance of the building. Through the process of Integrated Design, E3S2 and the design team identify as many opportunities for sustainable features before design begins. These are then evaluated and those that meet the cost and client criteria are incorporated into the conceptual designs.
